Your Purchasing Power: The Sobering Case of Belarus
Significant and sudden currency devaluations are nothing new or especially unique, and looking back we have many historical cases to draw upon for what we might expect to happen if the dollar were to face a precipitous collapse. While 1920s Austria is the classic case, in very recent history we witnessed the incredible example of Zimbabwe, a modern case of true hyperinflation on an almost unimaginable scale.
